DOGS LOVE TO PLAY WITH A TENNIS BALL!

TENNIS BALL. A most exciting toy for dogs.  It rolls, bounces, goes into the pool or into the lake. Dogs will run after a tennis ball.  They can learn to catch it. They will even jump up to catch it in mid air.

If you are lucky, a great dog will learn to fetch it and bring it back at your feet so you can through it again, and again, and again, and again…

Throwing a tennis ball is a great way for your dog to exercise while you are standing in the same spot! Here are some pictures taken during playtime sessions at Manoir Kanisha:

Teaching to catch a tennis ball in mid air is quite easy. Make it fun. Here are few exercises:

TENNIS BALL and WATER ACTIVITIES:

Your dog is afraid of water! Throw a ball in the pool… and just watch what happens.

Do not worry about losing your dog’s best toy in the pool or in the lake. It will stay on the surface of the water.

A tennis ball will float for two reasons;

  1. A tennis ball’s shell is made of thin layer of rubber. Rubber is less dense than water and thus floats.
  2. A tennis ball is hollow and filled with air. Air, as all divers know, is less dense than water helping the ball to float.

We would like to thank Chelsey at the TENNIS CDL for giving us their old TENNIS BALLS.

These used tennis balls may have lost their appeal for the tennis players, but they are providing great fun with our dogs during our OFF LEASH playtime sessions.

Our playtime sessions are done individually, one dog at the time with one of our employees, in our Manoir Kanisha secure outdoor or indoor playgrounds.

THANK YOU CHELSEY!
