Hi Nicole & Tim,
The drive to Washington DC was okay. Not much traffic at all. It went from fog to sun to light rain, but thankfully no snow!! Only stopped a few times for car fuel & human fuel (food!). What took me by surprise was the amount of tolls here in the US! You can’t go anywhere without dropping a few american dollar. At one point I ran out and they started adding it to my tab! haha They said the car rental company will contact me in several weeks for payment. I’ll be better prepared for the drive back.
I found the hotel pretty easily and drove around a few times to try to find a parking spot, but with it being cherry blossom season, and their spring break begging soon, everything is pretty packed.
I now just finished the 1st day of the conference and have a bit of time before the group supper to check e-mails. Then bedtime and early start again tomorrow for the workshop!
More news and photos soon.
Kind regards,
Iulia
