Dog Boarding Policies<\/h2>\n

CURRENT VACCINATIONS REQUIRED for DOG BOARDING<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

A. Distemper<\/strong>, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus (yearly)<\/p>\n

B. Rabies\u00a0<\/strong>(valid for 1 to 3 years)<\/p>\n

C. Bordetella\u00a0<\/strong>(Canine Cough) (yearly)<\/p>\n

D. Leptospirosis<\/strong>\u00a0(yearly)<\/p>\n

MEALS & DIET\"\"<\/h3>\n

Excellent dry food is included in our boarding fees.<\/p>\n

We\u00a0recommend that you bring your dog’s regular food<\/strong>. A sudden change of food may result in loose stools on the second boarding day or… upon your dog’s returning home.<\/p>\n

At Manoir Kanisha we feed our canine guests with excellent dry food: EUKANUBA PREMIUM PERFORMANCE. We normally serve two warm meals each day: at 8:00 am and at 4:30 pm.\u00a0 We can serve your home diet if you provide it upon the arrival of your dog.\u00a0 Your food could be dry, canned, raw\/frozen, or home-baked. All our Manoir Kanisha kitchens are equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, and microwave oven.\u00a0 We normally serve dog meals in a stainless steel bowl. Let us know if your dog prefers another type of dish such as a “Slow Feed Bowl” or any other bowl.<\/p>\n

ABANDONMENT<\/h3>\n

In case of abandonment of a dog, the\u00a0owner will be responsible for all expenses<\/strong>\u00a0(legal or others) incurred while trying to recuperate the fees owed to Manoir Kanisha.<\/p>\n

VISIT the MANOIR KANISHA<\/h3>\n

We offer, free of charge,\u00a0one visit per family<\/strong>\u00a0and one family at a time.<\/p>\n

Before confirming your first reservation,\u00a0call us to schedule a visit\u00a0<\/strong>of our facilities.<\/p>\n

Our visits (30 min. each) are done between 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm, 7 days\/week.\u00a0\u00a0No visit during peak periods.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bring your dog and allow him\/her to\u00a0“see and smell”\u00a0<\/strong>its future vacation environment.<\/p>\n

VISIT YOUR DOG WHILE HE\/SHE IS BOARDED\"\"<\/h3>\n

You (or a family member) are most welcome to visit your dog while boarding.\u00a0 Please avoid coming immediately after his\/her meal. We suggest that you plan to visit your best friend\u00a0between 1:30 pm and 4:00 pm<\/strong>.\u00a0 Call us to make sure we reserve our indoor or outdoor play area. These large areas will provide you with plenty of space to play with your best friend. The dog owner must clearly indicate the\u00a0name and telephone number of potential visitors<\/strong>\u00a0for their dog during their boarding. The animal\u00a0cannot leave our premises<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

PAYMENT METHODS and CANCELLATION<\/h3>\n

All fees must be paid before the beginning of the boarding period of your dog(s) at Manoir Kanisha. The Federal (GST) and Provincial (PST) taxes are not included in our rates. Taxes will be added to your invoice.\u00a0 We accept Visa, MasterCard, Interac & Cash. Prices may change without notice.\u00a0 \u00a0We do not accept cheques, Diner’s Card or the American Express Credit card.<\/p>\n

A\u00a0deposit of 50% is required\u00a0to confirm<\/strong>\u00a0your boarding reservation.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/h3>\n

This deposit is\u00a0not refundable<\/strong>, but the amount of your deposit is not lost. It is kept under your name and is\u00a0reusable<\/strong>\u00a0for any services offered by Manoir Kanisha.<\/p>\n

If necessary, you\u00a0must cancel at least 48 hours<\/strong> before the planned arrival of your dog at Manoir Kanisha. If this delay is not respected you will lose your deposit.<\/strong><\/p>\n

LAST MORNING “FREE OF CHARGE”\u00a0 IF…<\/h3>\n

\"\"Boarding fees are calculated on a calendar day<\/strong> basis. No matter what time you arrive, you will pay the first boarding day. We will not charge the last morning if you pick up your dog before 11:00 am.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This\u00a0policy does not apply the day following a legal holiday<\/strong>.\u00a0The next day after a legal holiday, we always open at 2h00 pm. That day will always be charged.\u00a0At your choice, you can come to pick up the next morning before 11:00 am, at no extra charge.<\/p>\n

ADDITIONAL EXPLANATIONS: Special care and medications<\/h3>\n

To properly replace you with your dog, we will have to provide him with the same medical care that you would give him at home. Following your instructions, we will either give him ear drops, eye ointment, brush his teeth, pills for his heart or other, hydrotherapy treatment for a wound, change his dressing, subcutaneous injections for his diabetes, etc.<\/p>\n

When booking, please confirm the type of medications, injections or procedures your pet will need. We do not offer intravenous injection services.<\/p>\n

Our meticulous control system for the administration of medications, i.e. the signing of a form for each administration of medication or treatment, ensures that each treatment or medication is given in the correct dosage and at the time recommended by you or by your veterinarian.<\/p>\n

A $10 fee<\/strong><\/span> is charged for each different procedure.<\/p>\n

For example, if we give an insulin injection twice a day, you will be charged twice $10 so $29\/day. If, on the other hand, a dog must receive 3 pills each morning, you will be charged $10 to have these 3 pills administered each morning (even if these pills are different). If the duration of your stay is 3 days, this amount will be charged 3 times. Likewise, if we have to administer drops in both ears, the cost will be $10 for this same procedure in both ears.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, if, for the same dog, we have to give an insulin injection and do a hydrotherapy treatment, a fee of $10 will be charged for each procedure.<\/p>\n

We recommend that you bring several extra doses. In the event that your return date is delayed, we will be able to continue the treatments without interruption. We will return any unused medications to you when you pick up your best friend.<\/p>\n

Also, inform us of the best way to administer their medication<\/strong> and at what time in relation to their meal (before, during or after). Placing a pill in a little cheese, a small piece of meat, a Pill Pocket, or a little peanut butter can make administration easier. Obviously, we will administer all the medications. On the other hand, your suggestions on how to administer them will be greatly appreciated. If you have several medications to administer each day, we will be happy to consider an appropriate discount (see our discounts above).<\/p>\n

BEFORE OR AFTER BUSINESS HOURS SERVICES<\/h3>\n

At Manoir Kanisha our business hours are\u00a08:00 am – 12:30 pm<\/strong>\u00a0and between\u00a013:30 pm – 6:00 pm<\/strong>, every day of the week (except for legal holidays when we are closed to the public). If planned in advance, it will be our pleasure to offer a special service before or after our opening hours. There will be an\u00a0additional fee of $50\/hour<\/strong>\u00a0outside these opening hours.<\/p>\n

For example, if you wish us to deliver your dog to the YUL airport at 05:00 am, we will start at 04:00 am to walk the dog, prepare the crate and deliver him for 05:00 am;\u00a0 therefore there will be 4 hours between the time of this service and our opening hour (4:00 am – 8:00 am); therefore there will be an additional charge of $50\/hour x 4 hours = $200 plus taxes, for this particular service.<\/p>\n

Another example, if you want us to enter or pick up your pet at 8h00 pm, 2 hours after we close at 6:00 pm, then there would be an additional charge of $50\/hour x 2 = $100 plus taxes, to offer this special service at 08:00 pm.<\/p>\n
