“Mamzel”, the new “best friend” of Michael & Louise
At Manoir Kanisha, our employees can bring their dogs to work. During their breaks and lunch time, their canine friends become the play companions of all our employees.
More than 12 years ago, Michael and Louise (working with us as a client services employee) adopted a friendly German shepherd puppy named RIGA. A few weeks ago, he moved to doggy heaven. A cloud of sadness surrounded our team members.
Following extensive research, Michael and Louise adopted a lovely female Boxer and named it “MAMZEL”. It is a really nice dog and she adapts very well to her new family and the Manoir Kanisha environment.
It is with pleasure and emotions that Michael and Louise introduce their new friend “MAMZEL”.
“Boxers are a bright, energetic and playful breed and tend to be very good with children.[4] They are patient and spirited with children but also protective, making them a popular choice for families.[4]
They are active, strong dogs and require adequate exercise to prevent boredom-associated behaviors such as chewing, digging, or licking. Boxers have earned a slight reputation of being “headstrong,” which can be related to inappropriate obedience training. Owing to their intelligence and working breed characteristics, training based on corrections often has limited usefulness.
Boxers, like other animals, typically respond better to positive reinforcement techniques such as clicker training, an approach based on operant conditioning and behaviorism, which offers the dog an opportunity to think independently and to problem-solve.[
The Boxers become very attached to its family. Like all dogs, it requires proper socialization.[23]Boxers are generally patient with smaller dogs and puppies, but difficulties with larger adult dogs, especially those of the same sex, may occur.
