The international relocation of a pet can be very complex and take a long time. Certain destination countries have very difficult import requirements. This is the case for countries such as Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia… etc. During the preparation phase, the owner needs to visit their veterinarian many times, do blood testing, wait many weeks for test results, ask for the import permit, do more testing, treatments… etc.
Fortunately, when the owner is no longer in Montreal, the Manoir Kanisha Pet Relocation Division can take care of all the pet’s preparatory steps before its relocation. The beautiful cat MAYNARD was boarded many months before his departure for AUSTRALIA. Tim, our Pet Relocation Manager, took care of all the veterinary visits while he was boarded at Manoir Kanisha.
Our animal attendants took great care of MAYNARD’s feeding, cleaning, playtime, weekly weight monitoring, grooming… etc.
He became part of our life and developed many “human best friends” who, since his departure, miss him very much.
After the many months of the preparatory steps, the long travel between Montreal-Toronto-Chicago-Los-Angeles-Melbourne/Australia and his compulsory Australian Quarantine period, MAYNARD finally arrived home.
Here is the message we just received from his happy human friend:

Subject: MAYNARD enjoying his new Australian home?
Dear Mrs. MacDuff,
Maynard is doing so well and I am so happy to have him here in Australia. I’m sure he misses you all at Kanisha, though! When I came back for Christmas holidays, he seemed so content (watching the birds in their cages, haha) and I’m sure he had a great experience. You and your staff took excellent care of him.
Thank you so much for all of your care. Maynard also really looks very healthy – his fur is so shiny and he’s put on weight, which he really needed. I’m very happy about that!
Please say thank you to everyone for looking after him.
I will be sure to recommend Kanisha and to use your services on my next move abroad, if possible. I’m attaching some photos of Maynard from the past few days, as he explores his new home.
Thank you again and have a great day.
Best,
Robyn & MAYNARD
