Alberta Wildfires: cats forced to go to Newfoundland
JAX & BELLA had to leave their home in a rush. Alberta Wildfires: cats forced to go to Newfoundland. They were first relocated to a camp called Wandering River away from the Alberta wildfires. Unfortunately, no one was able to care for them there.
Yesterday, they were relocated from Edmonton to Saint-John’s in Newfoundland. For some unknown reason, their Air Canada flight was rerouted to Montreal International Airport. They arrived Montreal late last night and there were no plans to have a person to take care of them.
This is when the Air Canada Cargo Team called Nicole at Manoir Kanisha to pick them up and offer them a good comfort stop until their next flight. Tim picked them up late last night and brought them back to Air Canada Cargo at 5h00 am this morning. This morning, JAX & BELLA boarded the first flight to arrive in Saint-John’s at 11h00am.
They were very lucky cats. Because of the evacuation, many owners left from their work station and never returned home. Many pet animals were left in their residence and so far, it is impossible to verify if they are still alive. So many home burned down.
