During the last 26 years, we have been very fortunate to host many guests of rare breeds of dog. Here is a very special dog breed called the AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG.
Wikipedia describes this breed in the following manner: “As with dogs from other working breeds, the Australian Cattle Dog (or just “Cattle Dog”) is energetic and intelligent with an independent streak. It responds well to structured training, particularly if it is interesting and challenging. It forms a strong attachment to its owners, and can be protective of them and their possessions. It is easy to groom and maintain, requiring little more than brushing during the shedding period.
The Australian Cattle Dog is a medium-sized, short-coated dog that occurs in two main colour forms. It has either brown or black hair distributed fairly evenly through a white coat, which gives the appearance of a “red” or “blue” dog.”
There are very few “Cattle Dogs” in the Province of Quebec. During the last 26 years, at Manoir Kanisha, we have boarded specimens of over 200 different breeds of dogs but only ONE Cattle dog. Her name is ILU. She was boarded at Manoir Kanisha and just returned back home this morning.
While ILU was boarded at our facilities we took a few pictures of her and shared them with their owners. Here is their message:

Nicole,
Kersti and I were thrilled with the photos of ILU you sent us.
As always, your photography is magnificent.
ILU had a marvellous time at Manoir Kanisha.
She is so well taken care of.
It also looks like Karolina really enjoyed ILU’s stay.
Their relationship goes back many years now.
They clicked from day one.
Thanks again
Denis, Kersti and ILU
