Bird Boarding Policies


MEALS & DIET

We serve the bird food, nuts, fruits or vegetables the owner provides. We will follow the written instructions.

SPECIAL CARE during BIRD BOARDING

Drops, ointment, pills, etc .Fee: $9.00 per administration of the same type of medication.

VETERINARY EXPENSES during BIRD BOARDING

The owner is responsible to pay for the cost of any required veterinary services received while their bird is boarded at Manoir Kanisha.

ABANDONMENT

In case of abandonment of a bird, the owner will be responsible for all expenses (legal or others) incurred while searches are done to find the owner and receive the total payment due.

VISIT the MANOIR KANISHA

We offer, free of charge, one visit per family and one family at the time.

Before confirming your first reservation, call us to plan a visit of our facilities: 514-631-1755

Our visits (30 min. each) are done between 1:30 pm to 4h00pm, 7days/week.

You do not have to bring your bird.

VISIT YOUR BIRD WHILE HE/SHE IS BOARDED

You (or a family member) are most welcome to visit your bird while boarded. We suggest that you plan to visit your best friend between 1:30 pm and 4 pm. Call us to make sure we reserve a time period. We allow visit one family at the time.

PAYMENT METHODS for Bird Boarding

All fees must be paid before the beginning of the boarding period of your bird(s) at Manoir Kanisha. The Federal (GST) and Provincial (PST) taxes are not included in our rates and will be added to your invoice. We accept Visa, Master card, Interac & cash. Prices may change without notice. We do not accept cheques, Dinner's Card or the American Express Credit card.

A deposit of 50% is required to confirm your boarding reservation. This deposit is not refundable, but the amount of your deposit is not lost if you cancel 48 hours before your arrival time. It is kept under your name and is reusable for any services offered by Manoir Kanisha.

LAST MORNING FREE

Boarding fees are calculated on a calendar day basis. No matter what time you arrive, you will pay the first boarding day.       We will not charge the last morning if you pick up your bird before 11:00 am

This policy does not apply the day following a legal holiday. The following day after a legal holiday, we always open at 2h00 pm. That day will always be charged.                                                              At your choice, you can come to pick up the next morning before 11 am, at no extra charge.

 

BEFORE OR AFTER BUSINESS HOURS SERVICES

At Manoir Kanisha our business hours are 8h00am – 12h30 and then between 13h30 - 18h00, every day of the week (except for certain legal holidays when we are closed to the public). If planned in advance, it will be our pleasure to offer a special service before or after our opening hours. There will be an additional fee of $47/hour outside these opening hours.

For example, if you wish us to deliver your bird to the airport at 07h00am, we will start at 06h00am to care for your bird, prepare the crate and deliver him for 07h00 am; therefore there will be 2 hours between the time of this service and our opening hour (6h00 - 8h00); therefore there will be an additional charge of $47/hour x 2 hours = $94.00 plus taxes, for this service.

Another example, if you want us to enter or pick up your pet at 8h00 pm, 2 hours after we close, then there would be an additional charge of $47/hours x 2 = $94.00 plus taxes, to offer this special pick up service at 08h00 pm.

ONE FREE ACTIVITY PERIOD:

SPECIAL REBATE for MANY ACTIVITIES:

If you select 1 to 7 activities (inclusively) during the same boarding period, the rate is as above.

If you select 8 to 14 activities (inclusively) during the same boarding period, you will get a rebate of -10%.

If you select more than 15 activities during the same boarding period, you will receive a rebate of -20%.

Additional fees of $42/hour will be charged for services provided before or after our Business Hours.

If planned in advance, it will be our pleasure to offer a special service before or after our opening hours. There will be an additional fee of $45/hour outside these opening hours.

For example, if you wish us to deliver your bird to the airport at 05h00am, we will start at 04h00am to walk the bird, prepare the crate and deliver him for 05h00 am; therefore there will be 4 hours between the time of this service and our opening hour (4h00 - 8h00); therefore there will be an additional charge of $45/hour x 4 hours = $180.00 plus taxes, for this service. Another example, if you want us to enter or pick up your pet at 8h00 pm, 2 hours after we close, then there would be an additional charge of $45/hours x 2 = $90.00 plus taxes, to offer this special pick up service at 08h00 pm.
