Manoir Kanisha will close on January 31st 2025

Written by Aéroport de Montréal

« After 35 years of Pet Boarding and International Pet Relocation services, Manoir Kanisha will cease its activities as of January 31, 2025. ADM, Aéroports de Montréal, has informed us that they must reclaim these local strategic areas for airport use. Although this situation saddens us, we understand that ADM must prioritize its users and maintain their level of service. In this context, we have decided not to relocate our activities to another site. We want to thank our dedicated employees who have provided excellent care to thousands of animals. We are very grateful to our loyal customers who have used our various services during the last 35 years. »

Our clients having unused days in their 28-DAY-PREPAID PACKAGE will be refunded after March 31, 2025.

Five years ago, a young Karolina Deptula started to work at Manoir Kanisha as an Animal Care Attendant.

During this five-year period she completed her CEGEP Diploma, started a course in biology at the Université de Montréal and finally, she decided to do her Veterinary Studies in WARSAW, POLAND.

Her daily activities include different tasks while caring for the various domestic animals boarded at Manoir Kanisha. These tasks are: speaking to the pets, caressing all the animal that allow us to do so, taking the animal outside, walking the condo dogs three times a day, cleaning and disinfecting their enclosures, feeding each pet according to the owner’s instructions, doing playtime sessions, giving medications meticulously (such as drops, pills, insulin injections… etc.) and making sure all the different species of animals are doing well by examining them individually three times a day and recording her observations. Karolina is now comfortable with different breeds of dogs and cats, birds, rabbits, rodents and reptiles.

“I am currently studying Veterinary Sciences in Warsaw, Poland. I also studied biology at the University of Montreal. The Manoir Kanisha seemed from the first moment, like an ideal place to be able to fulfill my passion for animals. Having a job whose task is to take care of animals as if they were our own is the happiest job ever! This is a place where the entire team shares the same passion. I myself have always had pets at home, and they are everything to me. Working with animals is doing the best job in the world, and the Manoir Kanisha allows me to be part of this great experience.” Karolina
